IS THIS THE IMAGE OF A `GHOSTLY BOY` CAPTURED AT CARLISLE CASTLE?

A ghostly child thought to haunt Carlisle’s former archive centre may finally have been captured on film.

Carlisle ghost photo
Is this the face of a boy?
The thin little boy has often been spotted at the 80 year old building, hidden within the walls of Carlisle Castle. Standing in the doorway to an old caretaker’s flat, he is said to create a chill in the air.
The former army building, called Alma block, is soon to be the new site of Carlisle’s Border Regiment Museum. Earlier this month, surveyors sent a picture of what looked like the ghost to assistant curator Tony Goddard.
Mr Goddard, who has long been fascinated by the paranormal, said: “I’ve been saying all along there’s a little boy standing in the doorway. He looks drawn, he looks unwell. I believe he must have died from consumption.
“Then an independent person sends me a photo and there he is.”
Since he started working at Alma block in January, Tony has witnessed a catalogue of ghostly happenings. He’s seen shadowy figures and heard the sound of a piano coming from the empty upper floors.
He added: “They don’t make you feel afraid. There’s no sense that they’re trying to frighten you or they don’t want you there. Quite the opposite, in fact. Alma block was built by the regiment and obviously, we’re moving back in.”
And the spooks are just as obvious in the afternoon as in the dead of night.
“A popular misconception with ghosthunting is that it has to be dark,” he said. “They’re there all the time. But they don’t want to hurt you – they won’t do anything to you in death that they wouldn’t do in life.”
The block once provided a canteen and library rooms for soldiers of the King’s Own Royal Border Regiment. It became a storage site for the archive service in 1960, when rows of plastic racking were installed on most of the walls.
Once dismantled by Tony and his team, they revealed original fittings including a mahogany bar.
It’s not the first time that Carlisle Castle has generated ghost stories.
In 2009, the castle was investigated by Most Haunted team from Living TV.
Among the stories that brought them there was that of a ghostly woman who reputedly stalks the corridors.
It is claimed that in 1823, her apparition frightened a soldier so badly that he bayoneted it, impaling the wall behind it.
He is alleged to have then fainted and died of shock the following day.

THE HAUNTING OF FORT SAM HOUSTON

SAN ANTONIO – Strange things keep happening at San Antonio’s oldest military installation.  Since News 4 WOAI brought you the “the Haunting at Fort Sam Houston” earlier this month, emails with more spooky stories have flooded in.
Multiple sites around the post are reported to be haunted – including the old Infantry Post.
By day, building 615 is filled with the sounds of the Medical Command Band.  But by night, some say its halls are filled with different sounds: chains rattling, men talking, and women laughing.
John Martinez, an instructor at Fort Sam Houston’s Academy of Health Sciences walked us through the building that used to be a surgery training facility.  It dates back to the late 1880s.  Martinez didn’t believe the rumors until he began to experience it for himself: creepy sounds, like doors slamming shut.
“I got up and walked around, went downstairs,” said Martinez.  “And when I came back up, the doors were closed.  And I’m thinking, wait a minute.  I didn’t close these doors.”
There seems to be no earthly explanation for what he and his co-workers have seen and felt.  “[A co-worker] was walking down this stairwell, and he stopped halfway because he had an eerie sensation,” explained Martinez.  “And then, all of a sudden, a cold chill came over his entire body.”
Sergeant First Class Jesse Bolanos was alone in the building doing a late-night security check, and left an interior door near the exit slightly ajar.  But when he came back through to leave the building, the door was shut and locked – a near impossibility.
“You couldn’t shut this door,” Bolanos explained.  “It was slightly off, so [when you tried to shut it], it would always open back up.  So you couldn’t even slam it shut.  You would have to shut it and lift it, so it would catch the lock.”
Since then, Bolanos says the weird incidents haven’t stopped.  He caught an audio recording of a woman’s laugh.  “It’s a little laugh in the upper register.  It just creeped us all out and we left really quickly after that,” said Bolanos.
What’s creepier – that may be the same laugh that Martinez heard years earlier.
“It was a lilting laugh,” commented Martinez.  “It’s another world and they haven’t crossed over.  They’re still here.”
News 4 WOAI showed you strong evidence in our original “Haunting at Fort Sam Houston” story.  World-renowned paranormal investigators Brad & Barry Klinge captured a picture of a little girl in a mirror, a snapshot of a mysterious bartender, and an eerie EVP recording of a voice.  We’ve been asked who those people are, and if they could be proof that ghosts are real?

It’s some of the most compelling evidence the paranormal brother duo have caught in their careers.  In pitch black darkness, they snapped a photo that showed a mysterious man.
“We call him the bartender because he looks like one,” commented Barry Klinge, Co-founder of Everyday Paranormal.  “He’s wearing a tuxedo, and he looks like he has a towel over his arm.”
The photo was taken in the bar of what is now the Harlequin Dinner Theatre.  The building dates back to World War II, and used to be an N.C.O. club, where non-commissioned officers would go to get their minds of the battles at hand.
The Klinge brothers say it’s possible that the “bartender” is still tending the bar to this day.
“A lot of people think hauntings only occur when people die,” said Barry.  “But a lot of hauntings occur because that’s where they liked to hang out.  That’s where they cherished life the most.  And so maybe that bartender enjoyed that.”
Upstairs in the prop room, their camera also caught a little girl in a blue dress.
“There’s no telling where she comes from,” commented Brad Klinge, Founder of Everyday Paranormal.  “We can only speculate.”
“But there’s no documentation of a little girl dying there, or a bartender dying there,” Barry added.  “We don’t know who those people are.  We just know we got a picture of them.”
Workers at the Harlequin Dinner Theatre, like Nikki Folsom, have their own theories for what (or who) could be haunting the place.
“The story is, there was a waitress who was killed in here,” said Folsom, pointing to the band room.
News 4 WOAI checked with the post historian but couldn’t find any documentation of a murder onsite.
“The place is haunted,” said Brad.  “But whether it’s from people dying there, that’s probably not the case.  It could be.  We just can’t find it.  That doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, but sometimes those records are hard to get to.”
It’s hard to deny the existence of a supernatural presence, when you see the video the Klinge brothers caught with an infrared camera.  Back behind the stage, a chair moved back by itself.  The video has gotten its share of skeptics.
“The thing we get a lot is, people say, well how did you know to focus your camera right on that chair?” Brad explained.  “What happened was, there was a walkie-talkie on the desk next to it.  I was sitting on the side, Barry was standing next to me, and it looked like that walkie-talkie was kind of moving on its own a little bit.”
Thus, Brad says the camera happened to be pointing in the right place, at the right time.  “People ask, did you kick that [chair]?  No, we didn’t kick it.”
The brothers even tried to re-enact what they had seen, and couldn’t physically duplicate the same motion of the chair moving back.
“We’ve never seen object manipulation like this,” said Brad.
Also astounding is their electronic voice phenomenon, also known as EVP.  It seems to say, “sometimes we’re fighting.”  The Klinge brothers caught the low-frequency sound in the Quadrangle clock tower – the oldest standing structure on-post.  Inside, old carvings cover nearly every inch of the rock walls.
“It’s a living history from bottom to top, with names and initials of Soldiers who have gone through Fort Sam,” said Barry.
“So our theory is that, just like the graffiti of those names, EVP is like graffiti of a conversation,” said Brad.

SANDRA BULLOCK FRIGHTENED BY `HAUNTED` CHURCH

She is in London filming sci-fi thriller Gravity with GEORGE CLOONEY and has asked producers to investigate the converted church she is staying in because she fears it's haunted.

She's had sleepness nights due to "ghostly presences" inside the north London gaff.
A source said: "Sandra is convinced something is not right."

The paranormal patter is reportedly so bad that Bullock is suffering sleepless nights due to "ghostly presences" inside the north London church and a source claims the actress is convinced something is not right.

Bonnie Vent, a San Diego-based spiritual medium, isn't surprised Bullock is having ghostly experiences in jolly old England.

"London has a long, rich history for murder and mayhem," Vent told AOL Weird News. "The properties are hundreds of years old with many highly emotional experiences attached as well as bodies buried in the floors and walls of some properties."

Also, show business celebrities seem to have a knack for picking up ghostly vibes, she says.

"Celebrities are more open-minded, live-and-let-live types," she said. "They're already living outside of the box. Plus, they travel a lot and staying in different places makes you recognize when a room has a unique energy to it."

GHOSTS DRIVE PAIR FROM HOME

COUPLE have been forced to move out of their dream Cheshire home because of terrifying GHOSTS.

French musician Jean Marc Mariole and his former model wife Charlotte have been hounded by scary incidents since moving into their Frodham home.

They heard bumps in the night, saw ghostly orbs and even caught spine tingling poltergeists on CCTV — in scenes similar to horror film Paranormal Activity.

Scared ... Jean Marc Mariole and his wife Charlotte have been forced to flee home after ghostly goings-on

They are so scared they have left the comfort of their home and have had to blow £3,000 staying in a nearby hotel.

And they have now resorted to begging an exorcist to ward off evil spirits.

But the house — which is close to the scene of two suicides — remains plagued by pests from the other side. The pair say the spooky goings-on started just four weeks after they moved into their flat last April and include stamping noises, flying blobs and even levitating bed sheets.
The case bears a startling resemblance to the Hollywood horror film Paranormal Activity in which a couple use a video camera to record supernatural occurrences in their home.
The constant banging and thumping through the night means the couple have not had a decent night's sleep in months — grabbing what rest they can at nearby hotels.

On several occasions, they have been forced to flee their home in the middle of the night, desperately checking into the local Holiday Inn in the early hours.
But after spending £18,000 on decorating the luxury flat, the couple are fast running out of cash to spend on hotel rooms.
Charlotte, 53, originally from Bordeaux, said the peak of the paranormal pranks came when she was suddenly locked in her bathroom whilst washing her face.
She said: "It was really frightening - the door just slammed behind me and the window was not even open, so it couldn't have been a breeze.
Jean Marc, 64, who married his wife last March, said: "We have seen somewhere between 200 and 300 of these things flying about the house
"It's terrifying. We see black silhouettes on the walls and screams at night. Sometimes it sounds like a grown man crying.
Quantcast
"The noise is very distressing - it's like something out of a horror movie and does not help our sex life.
"I have lived in England for 45 years and thought I'd finally found the perfect place to live, in a peaceful village. We have spent £18,000 kitting the flat out and now we have to leave, if only for our sanity."
Now the couple say they are thinking of fleeing to France to escape the creepy incidents, despite having spent their life savings on the 19th century two-bed home.
Charlotte added: "We have even resorted to sleeping in the car to escape the horrors of the house, which as you can imagine is not very comfortable.
"We just want to leave and get a decent night's sleep again."
