IS THIS A GHOST CHILD SNAPPED IN A GROUP PHOTO OR A HOAX?

The Sun newspaper,  has come up with another photographic `scoop` - shown here of a group of posing teenagers with a small child peering between two pair of legs.

Face shown in red circle - Click to enlarge
The child we are told, wasn`t in the original group, and must therefore be a `ghost`.
Matthew Summers aged 17, of Billingham, Teeside took the photo at his sister`s home, and was `shocked to see peeping out between the knees of two of the girls what looked like an apparition`.

Dr Ciaran O'Keeffe, a parapsychologist on Living TV's Most Haunted show, says, "As human beings we're very good at finding a pattern in randomness and related to that we're good at finding faces in randomness. The term for this pareidolia. First it was ink blots, then things like clouds in the sky and now mobile phone pictures. There is no ghost in this picture, just the coincidental effect of pixelation and darkness and light which combine together."

PhotoShop or genuine?

For me (having seen much evidence of  pareidolia) I would actually disagree. I think the face is quite real, but manipulated by photoshop.
I think Dr O`Keefe is trying to be polite.
But that`s my opinion, and no doubt you will have your own verdict on this.
